Whether show cars for Geneva or classic cars,Coventry Metalcraft has contributed considerably to the build of the world’s finest vehicles.

In addition to Brendan, Coventry Metalcraft has a management team that can trace its roots as far back as the first-hand built bodies for Leyland [Montego, Maestro and Metro], Ford RS2000, the original Mazda MX5, Rolls Royce Corniche, Renault Van, Ford Transit, Ford Lincoln Town car, Porsche RSK, multiple Spyker builds to include C8 Laviolette and C12 LaTurbie, SSUV,  Aileron and Preliator, Zagato Fiat 500, GTZ Bentley, Zagato D12 Spyker as well as Aston Martin One-77, V12 Vantage Zagato prototypes and Concept Lagonda.

We have moved to a new larger facility and no longer work out of the historic Abbey Panels building where iconic Jaguar XJSS, XK120, XJ13, XJ 220C-Type, D –Type, and E-Types were built in the past. In our new facility we have continued to build bespoke, low series cars under the Coventry Metalcraft brand including Proteus and GTO Engineering Re-imagined 250 SWB and TR cars. This includes BIW only as well as whole car projects from concept through to complete road running vehicles fully trimmed and painted.

Our skilled Artisans can fit the bodies to a rolling chassis or in many instances to a chassis built in-house. Using traditional English wheels, Shrinker/stretcher tools, and other time-honoured methods of manufacturing we have unrivalled levels of skill and quality of panel and car builds. In addition, for higher volume vehicles that warrant Press tools and laser cut panels we can produce this on site as well as coach-built bodies made of hand-shaped sheet metal.
